Welcome to BCC Sydney

Pastor Letter for November 2024

Dear Family and Friends,

Praise the Lord its Summer time 2024 and full of activities as festive season kicks in to Sydney. The beauty of December is technicolour flowers as well as Christmas decorations with lights and various materials. We will celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and tell the world that how much God loves us by sending His one and only Son. Christmas spirit is all about joy and that joy is not manmade but a divine gift from above which is everlasting and no one can take it away.

When the spirit of the Lord comes down it demonstrate God’s greatness and goodness in us, around us and through us. The spirit of Christmas drives out fear, remove all doubts and brings us purpose to live. Let us look at the Christmas story according to Luke 1: 8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And [c]behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a [d]manger.”13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill[e] toward men!”15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 17 Now when they had seen Him, they made [f]widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. 18 And all those who heard it marvelled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.

The story of Christmas is simple, God sent His message by the messengers to the world that He has a solution for mankind to reconcile with His by receiving His one and only son Jesus Christ so that we will have eternal life, moreover the problem of the world is mankind rebelling against God and became slaves to Satan, sin and death. Here is the good news of joy that God’s demonstrate His grace by the saving act of Christ who was born and took away our sins, Its party time! Lets celebrate God’s love, the grace of Jesus Christ and enjoy the presence of the Holy Spirit as we greet to one another Merry Merry Christmas!!!!!

In Christ we thrive,
